WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren Police are trying to figure out who smashed a store window and took off with laptops and other electronics.
The burglary happened at the Cashland store on Elm Road. Officers were called there just before 7 a.m. Wednesday after a caller reported seeing the front window of the store was broken.
Police arrived to find a window had been smashed with a lead pipe, and an alarm was going off. The alarm company said they received a glass break alarm at 2:58 a.m. but did not dispatch the call to the 911 dispatch center, according to a police report.
No one was found inside the store, but several laptops, worth more than $2,250, were missing.
Photos of the crime scene were taken, and police are reviewing security footage.
