Youngstown man indicted on charges related to reported road rage incident

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man has been indicted on multiple charges in relation to a road rage incident in April.

Leonard Ellis, 21, was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury on felonious assault, discharge of a firearm on prohibited premises, firearm specifications, having weapons while under disability and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle charges.

Police said Ellis argued with another driver at the corner of Rush Avenue and Philadelphia Avenue, accusing him of cutting him off. That driver told police Ellis pulled a gun out and fired a shot into the ground and drove to a house on Palmer Avenue. The driver said he followed Ellis to his home, and Ellis fired the gun several times in the direction of his car.

Police said the gun was found at the Palmer Avenue home with five spent shells.
