Bristol Softball rolls to Regionals

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Bristol Softball Team captured its first District Title since 2003 with a 10-0 win over Maplewood Friday in the Division IV District Finals at Candlelite Knolls.

Ashlyn Slusher ended the game early with a 2-run home run to secure the victory.  On the day, Slusher finished with three hits, 3 RBI’s and also scored three runs.

Slusher also picked up the win on the circle, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, with nine strikeouts.

Kayla Switzer tallied three doubles and two RBI’s, while Kendyll Switzer had a single and two RBI’s.

Autumn Miller finished with a double, an RBI, and scored a run.

Maplewood’s season ends with a record of 13-14.

Bristol improves to 14-9 on the season, and advances to face Hillsdale in the Division IV Regional Semifinals Wednesday at 5PM at Kent State University.
