Police: Wanted fugitive arrested after breaking into Youngstown apartment

Jason Harmon is charged with burglary and was arrested on multiple warrants

Jason Harmon wanted for weapons under disability, improper handling of a firearm and aggravated menacing

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force was arrested on Thursday for breaking into a Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority apartment, according to police.

Jason Harmon was listed as a wanted fugitive for allegedly firing a gun in the Plaza View apartments on Youngstown’s east side.

On Thursday, Youngstown Police officers were sent to apartments on Woodcrest Avenue after a YMHA employee reported seeing a man acting suspiciously who later forced open a window screen to an apartment and climbed inside.

Harmon was ordered out of the apartment by police. He told officers that he had permission to be in the apartment.

Harmon was charged with burglary. He was wanted on warrants for weapons under disability, improper handling of a firearm and aggravated menacing charges.
