YOUNGSTOWN, OH (WKBN)-There is only one high school tennis team from the Valley that will head to Cincinnati for the state tournament and their two participants haven’t even completed their first year in high school.
Ursuline’s Austin Arfaras and Luke Tsudis are both just 15-years-old and will represent the Irish at the state tournament after the doubles team topped Chagrin Falls Friday to claim the Division II Regional Doubles team title at Springside Racket Fitness club in Akron.
Arfaras and Tsudis defeated Erin Yoder and Jason Render 6-2 in the finals.
“If they keep working hard, and can stay healthy I think they have a chance to make it to state all four years,” says Rob Reilly, Ursuline’s head tennis coach.
The state tournament is May 27th and 28th at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
