HERMITAGE, PA (WKBN) – Buhl Park will host a day filled with sports, fitness and health activities on Saturday, June 4.

The day will begin at 9 a.m. with the Dash to the Splash 5k run/2m walk and a free Kids’ Fun Run that will end with an optional jump in the water.

The Buhl Grand Prix, USA Cycling sanctioned racing, hosted by La Prima Espresso Co. Racing, will begin at 10 a.m. and go until 4:15 p.m. A free Kids’ Bike Race will begin at 1:15 p.m.

“Buhl Park is our area’s premiere outdoor place for health and fitness activities, and we want to highlight all that the park has to offer,” said Tom Roskos, the park’s executive director. “We have added a disc golf course and reopened our driving range, both of which will host clinics that day.”

The day will be filled with demonstrations ranging from dance to yoga with food and other vendors onsite all day. Penn Ohio Rehabilitation, who helped sponsor the event and assisted with the planning, will have plenty of activities at their tent, as well as on stage.

Buhl Community Recreation Center will showcase all that they have to offer from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Check out the Piyo Class, Squat Clinic or go for the Lunch Time-Crunch Time Fitness Trail Walk.

There are plenty of kids’ activities, too. Two obstacle courses will be available, hosted by the Hermitage Kiwanis and Fitness and Physique, or they can try Yoga for Kids with Jackie Stewart. Team Danielle is hosting health and wellness activities for kids at the Butterfly Memorial Garden/Little Free Library including crafts, Story Time with Miss Vicki and healthcare provider presentations.

Buhl Park is located at 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage, PA. Admission is free.
