WARREN, Ohio – Lynn Wilson Pierce, II, 81, of Warren, OH passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Born at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio on March 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Wayne Wilson and Kathryn Riley Pierce. A lifelong resident of Champion, Ohio, Lynn was a descendant of the first families of Champion and founders of Champion Presbyterian Church. He loved to share his knowledge of Champion history.
Lynn enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved his early morning round table meetings with his McDonald coffee buddies. He enjoyed playing bingo at Scope and attending Champion Historical meetings. He never met a stranger and loved mowing the yard, even if the yard did not need mowed.
Lynn was a veteran and retired from RMI.
Survivors include daughters, Judy and Randy King of Loganville, GA and Jill and Keith Rayner of Cleveland, GA; son, Wayne and Wendi Pierce of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany and Joshua Wallace of Covington, GA and Nicholas Smyth and fiancée Jeannette Hoarau of Lawrenceville, GA; twin great-grandsons, Bennett Wallace and Harrison Wallace.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, at Champion Township Chapel by Pastor Marvin Barney of Champion Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion, OH.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Champion Historical Society, 149 Center Street East, Warren, Ohio 44481. Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren was in charge of arrangements.
