Niles cracks down on ATV riding, vehicles impounded

The drivers were charged with trespassing on a railroad and riding an ATV on city streets

Three ATV drivers were arrested in Niles, Ohio.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Three all-terrain vehicles were impounded and the drivers charged after they were caught driving through residential neighborhoods Wednesday night.

Police received tips that the riders were doing wheelies and driving recklessly.

All three men were caught near Summit Street.

The drivers were charged with trespassing on a railroad and riding an ATV on city streets.

One suspect is also facing a drug charge.

Niles police say they will continue to enforce the ATV laws in the city.

Last summer, several ATV riders in Trumbull County were charged after a massive ride was organized on social medial and the vehicles were driven on several local streets and highways.
