BROOKFIELD, Ohio – Charlene M. Cunningham, 69 passed away Thursday morning, June 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.

Charlene was born on May 13, 1947 in Zelienople, PA, a daughter of the late James and Helen (Flannigan) Goehring.

She was a graduate Seneca Valley High School in Seneca Valley, PA.

Charlene had a great sense of humor and loved to make everyone laugh. She was a proud housewife, who loved to spend time with her family and would do anything for them. She enjoyed listening to her husband and sons play music, having family parties and cooking big dinners, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the movies, camping, fishing, feeding wild birds, and spending time with her dogs.

Charlene will be deeply missed by her children, Pamella (Ken) Cunningham-Thomas of Hubbard, Patricia Cunningham of Brookfield, Charles (Lisa) Cunningham Jr. of Burghill, OH, Robert (Diana) Cunningham of Cortland, and Kevin (Christina) Cunningham of Orwell, OH; her grandchildren, Steven Cunningham, Shane Cunningham, Riley Cunningham, Rogan Cunningham, Sean, Liam, and Zachary Cunningham.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by beloved husband, Charles Wallace Cunningham, whom she married on August 13, 1964, shared nearly 47 years together, and passed June 16, 2011; a grandson, Brandon R. Cunningham, and a granddaughter, Madison C. Cunningham.

Funeral services for Charlene will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2016 at 12:00 p.m., at Lane Family Funeral Homes – Madasz Chapel, located at 6923 Warren – Sharon Road Brookfield, OH 44403.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday June 6, and an hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
