WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man has been charged with breaking into a home on Dodge Street.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Dodge Street around 4 a.m. Wednesday for an alarm going off at a home. Officers arrived and found a sliding door was broken and a window was missing, according to a Warren Police report.

Police said while investigating, officers heard gunshots fired within the home. They ordered a man out, later identified as 22-year-old Orlando Ervin.

Ervin was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault. He was taken to Trumbull County Jail, where he remained Thursday.

A man saying in the home told police that in February, someone had broken in through the same window, stealing a television from the home. After that burglary, an alarm system was installed.
