YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two power outages were reported overnight in the Valley.

The first is on Glenwood Avenue near Breaden Street. A car hit a pole and took out power to the nearby area, affecting nearly 100 Ohio Edison customers.

The street is currently blocked off while crews try to restore power to the area. Power should be back on by 9:00 a.m.

The other power outage occurred early Sunday morning in the area of Taft Avenue and Campbell Street after part of a tree fell, taking some power lines with it.

Fire crews blocked off Campbell between Cooper Street and Hunter Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Ohio Edison could not work on the lines until the tree was removed. Up to 40 homes were without power. Ohio Edison crews responded before 4:00 a.m., and about half of those customers have their power back.

Use caution and expect delays when driving in those areas.
