YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – WKBN 27 First News Meteorologist Rich Morgan was out in the community at the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.

Wednesday marked Caring Rescue Mission Day — a day to not only bring awareness to the Mission itself but to the constant year-round need of volunteers.

Rescue Mission staff said people are on vacation this time of year, so volunteers are needed now more than ever. Volunteers can serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The mission also holds Super Saturdays in which a group of 20 to 30 volunteers come in to clean.

If you’re interested in volunteering or helping out, you can contact the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley at 330-744-5486.
