Boardman Subaru campaign makes donation to Akron Children’s

The money was raised during Subaru's "Share the Love" campaign

Boardman Subaru donated over $32,000 to Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Boardman Subaru presented a check for over $32,000 on Thursday to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.

The money was raised during Subaru’s “Share the Love” campaign, where $250 from each lease or purchase of a vehicle during the campaign went to the dealership’s hometown charity of choice.

Owner Rob Fellman says it made sense to make the donation to Akron Children’s.

“Akron Children’s Hospital doesn’t refuse anybody and their core values and beliefs are about community,” he said. “Subaru, we kind of share that idea and about doing the right thing, most importantly.”

A hospital spokesperson said the money will make a difference in the lives of local children.
