Uber exploring demand for ride-hailing services in Youngstown

An Uber spokesperson said the company is exploring supply and demand

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Uber could be on its way to picking up riders in the Valley.

First News found the ride-hailing company made an online post looking for drivers in Youngstown. Uber confirmed that the company posted the job listing, but a spokesperson said the call for drivers does not necessarily mean they will start picking up passengers in Youngstown, describing it as exploring supply and demand.

A First News investigation back in February found that the Mahoning Valley is the most-populated area in the country to never have Uber service.
