MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio (WKBN) – The Weathersfield Township Flag Day Festival is going on this weekend at the community park.

The event kicked off Thursday night but continues through Sunday.

Friday night’s festivities include a parade at 6 p.m. and performances at the new gazebo. Dominic Tocco & the Brotherhood will put on a concert at 7 p.m.

Saturday features a mile fun run and 5K for the Mineral Ridge Fire Association, corn hole tournament, local talent show and a performance by Northern Whiskey at 7 p.m. A fireworks show will follow at 10:45 p.m.

On Sunday, the “Rumble in the Ridge” car show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will wrap up the weekend.

“Most of the money goes to our firefighters association and some of the money also goes to the event to put it on again next year,” said Organizer David Rouan. “There’s no charge to get in, there’s no charge for the concerts and there’s no charge for the fireworks.”

Other family-friendly activities include amusement rides, carnival games, raffles and food.
