He started out as a Boardman policeman in 1960 and went on to serve as a patrolman, investigator, captain, Assistant Chief and then Chief of Police from 1963-1967 and was the Road Superintendant in Boardman from 1972-1978. Bob developed the Highlands Development in North Lima from 1989-2000. In the same period of time, he also developed the Woodworth Office Complex, which was formerly Lake Park Motel. He was a member of the Youngstown Saxon Club, the Catholic War Vets, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post #3298, the Moose Club and the Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown.
He enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and trees and working in his back yard. Bob loved feeding the birds, the ducks and the fish in his pond. He could fix anything – handy man extraordinaire. He was also owner of four patents.
