Canfield artist uses drawing to show support for Orlando

Carol Zeock hopes her artwork can raise awareness for people who are persecuted for being different

Carol Zeock, of Canfield, remembers the victims of the shooting in Orlando with artwork.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Carol Zeock, of Canfield, was able to convey her emotions about the shooting in Orlando through her artwork.

“It just came to me. I like to do eyes with tear drops. I’ve done them for people with little paws and memorials so I said, ‘You know what? Let’s do the little rainbow tear and that way we can just raise awareness.’ I had people sharing it and then more people started talking about it.”

Her Facebook post reads:

I drew this in my support for those who are hurt, persecuted and even killed everyday [sic] because they are ‘different.’ I am so sorry for Orlando and for us all. Please share to show your support.

Additional photos of Zeock’s art are posted on her Facebook page.
