Cardinal Mooney president announces he will resign in July

Father Gerald DeLucia has been president of the school in Youngstown for four years

Father Gerald DeLucia announced he will resign as President of Cardinal Mooney.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Father Gerald DeLucia announced Friday that he will resign from his position as President of Cardinal Mooney High School.

He has been president of the school for four years.

DeLucia currently serves St. Charles and St. Luke Parishes part-time in addition to his work as president. He says he will return to the pastoral ministry full time on July 15.

Board Chairman Dan Landers, a Mooney grad and chairman since 2014, will fill in as interim president until a replacement is chosen.
