Car crashes into Youngstown home

The car crashed through a fence and continued into the house at the corner of Oak and Jackson Streets

A car crashed into a home at the corner of Oak and Jackson Streets in Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A car crashed into a home in Youngstown Tuesday evening after officials said the driver lost control.

The accident created a sizable hole on the side of the house at the corner of Oak and Jackson Streets.

Witnesses said the driver was on Jackson when he drove through the fence of a nearby house and crossed four lanes of traffic before crashing into the home.

The homeowner was upstairs cleaning at the time. She said everything was quiet until she heard a loud bang from downstairs. No one inside the house was injured.

A tow truck was on the scene around 6 p.m. to remove the car.

The driver was taken away in an ambulance, but his condition was unknown Tuesday night.
