CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Vice President Joe Biden will be discussing cancer prevention and treatment in Cleveland on Thursday.
Biden is scheduled to talk at the Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center at 2390 E. 79th St. at 3 p.m.
Summits will be held across the country on Thursday for the Cancer Moonshot initiative, which aims to bring people together to talk about their experiences and generate ideas for combating cancer.
Biden hopes to make more therapies available to more patients, while improving the ability to prevent cancer and detect it early.
His talk in Cleveland will focus on new collaborations and investments fostered through Cancer Moonshot, as well as the cancer research Case Western Reserve University is conducting.
