Youngstown residents talk with Mayor McNally for 5 minutes or less

Residents gathered at the Rocky Ridge Gardens on South Hazelwood Avenue

Residents in Youngstown met with John McNally for 5 Minutes With the Mayor.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Mayor John McNally held another “5 Minutes with the Mayor” event on Tuesday.

Residents gathered at the Rocky Ridge Gardens on South Hazelwood Avenue in Youngstown.

Citizens who wanted to had the opportunity to talk with McNally about any issue for five minutes or less. They came to voice their concerns about everything from jobs, to abandoned homes, to blight in the neighborhood.

“I think it’s something people have appreciated us trying to do. We try to be responsive to any problems they have, any questions they have,” McNally said. “Some folks just want to come down and chat for a minute and don’t have anything to ask of the city, ask of the mayor, but if they do, we try to help them out as best we can.”

The next 5 Minutes With the Mayor will take place in July at Nick Johnson Park on the east side.
