WILKESVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) – Deputies in Vinton County said three people were arrested and two children were removed from a home after they found materials used to make meth.
Adam Adkins, 37, Jennifer Pierce, 31, and Carlotta Pierce, 54, all of Wilkesville, were arrested and charged with illegal assembly and manufacturing of drugs, child endangerment, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, parole officers making a home visit at a residence in Wilkesville discovered several items that were used to make methamphetamine with the “one pot” or “shake and bake” method.
Deputies say a search of the home resulted in the discovery of multiple containers of what is believed to be “toxic sludge,” a substance left over from the meth-making process.
The children, ages 12 and 15, were in the home at the time.
