Desiree Byrd, charged with attempted murder and aggravated robbery in Youngstown taxi cab driver stabbing

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A teen accused of stabbing a Youngstown cab driver during a robbery attempt has been indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Desiree Byrd, 19, is charged with attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault and four counts of aggravated robbery.

Police say Byrd stabbed Mark Haag, an Independent Radio Taxi driver, after he picked her and two men up from a home on Ivanhoe Avenue in May. Haag was taken to the hospital following the attack, and he talked to WKBN about the incident. 

Byrd was also accused of robbing another cab driver.
