HARTFORD, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman told police her car was stolen and she and a friend were robbed of several items outside of Hartford Hill Winery Saturday night.
The two said they were sitting in a car outside of the winery around 11:30 p.m. when they were approached by three men, who ordered them out of the car by gunpoint. They then took their cell phones, the woman’s purse and her car, leaving in the 2012 Honda Accord.
The Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office said all of the men were wearing bandanas over their faces, gloves and black or camouflage clothing.
Deputies said by tracking the stolen cell phones, they were found nearby, on the ground north of a home on Bushnell Campbell home. The vehicle was also found Sunday morning near the gravel railroad at State Route 305 and Warner Road.
The Sheriff’s Office is reviewing security footage from the winery and investigating. A person of interest was interviewed, according to the report.
