HUBBARD, Ohio – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating for Agnes R. Verch age 87, formerly of Hubbard who passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Liberty Health Care.
Agnes was born April 14, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Rosario & Carmella Napolitano DiRando.
She was a 1947 graduate of South High School, and a graduate of Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing.
Agnes was a Registered Nurse for 41 years at Northside and Southside Hospitals retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of Ohio Nurses Association, OGDNA Union Local, Hubbard Lyric Club, and a past president of Hubbard PTA.
Agnes loved the library, and enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her family especially loved her cooking and baking.
Her husband Werner B. Verch whom she married September 23, 1950 passed away March 27, 2015.
She will be sadly missed by her family; her children David (Kay) Verch of Warren; Wendy A. Pedigo of Mauldin, South Carolina; Sandra E. (William) Joyce of Boardman; her six grandchildren Shannon (Andrew) Skaggs, Robin (Jeremy) Little, Brian Verch, Greg Verch, Jonathan (Anne) Joyce, and Jennifer Joyce; and her great granddaughter Camden Little.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, grandson Matthew Pedigo, son-in-law Charles Pedigo, brother Salvatore DiRando and sisters Joan Skrzynski and Rosalie DiRando.
There will be calling hours on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 one hour prior to the Mass from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard.
Agnes will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
