CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The 170th Trumbull County Fair begins Tuesday, and a large crowd is expected for opening day.
Those working on the fairgrounds Monday were busily preparing, filling up the animal barns and setting up vendors.
Along with the cows and pigs, there will be a new animal to see this year. Shark tanks will be set up starting Tuesday for daily shows. Chickens are also returning this year after being banned last year due to bird flu, according to Fair Board Director Jan Solomon.
“It was missed. There are a lot of activities with poultry, and it was missed,” she said.
Admission will be free all day, with gates opening at 8 a.m. Tuesday. A full schedule of events is available here, and more information on activities can be found on the Trumbull County Fair’s website.
