HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) – Authorities in southwestern Ohio say they have captured an inmate who ran away from a hospital where he was taken for a medical appointment.
The Hamilton-Middletown Journal-News reports the Butler County Sheriff confirmed that 30-year-old Bradley Brooks Jr. was found in a creek bed at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Butler County sheriff’s Capt. John Sons said earlier Tuesday that Brooks fled on foot shortly after 1 p.m. after saying he needed to use the restroom while at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton.
Brooks was being held on charges including receiving stolen property, and having weapons while under disability.
No other information was immediately available.
