Youngstown Police to conduct weekend OVI checkpoint

The location of the checkpoint will be announced on the day it is held

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Police Department, in conjunction with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, will be conducting an OVI checkpoint this weekend in the City of Youngstown.

Youngstown police officers and state troopers will be operating the checkpoint and patrolling the city in an effort to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

Police recommend that those consuming alcohol get a designated driver or make other travel arrangements.

The location of the checkpoint will be announced on the day it is held.
