The buidling was damaged after a water main break nearby on Sunday

The S.C.O.P.E. building in Niles will be closed Monday due to a water main break.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Niles S.C.O.P.E. (Senior Citizen’s Opportunity for Personal Endeavor) senior center is reopening Friday after a water main break over the weekend that left the building with water damage.

The water main break was in a nearby alley on State Street and flowed into S.C.O.P.E. Crews began repairs on Monday, but the senior center was unable to reopen until damages could be repaired.

The center remained closed for five days as a result of the water main break.
