CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Two OVI checkpoints will be held Friday and Saturday in Mahoning County.
Specific details of the checkpoints will be announced at a later time.
The checkpoints are being held to deter and intercept impaired drivers. Saturation patrols will also be conducted throughout the weekend.
The Mahoning County OVI Task Force said its goal is making the roadways of Mahoning County safe.
Support for the checkpoints and patrols will be provided by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency.
