Amanda Morar, charged with drug possession and endangering children

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Newton Falls woman was arrested after police said she stopped at a suspected drug house with children in the car and was later found with heroin.

Amanda Morar, 33, was stopped Wednesday afternoon during an investigation of drug complaints in the neighborhood. Police pulled her over on Iowa Avenue in Warren for failing to use a turn signal, according to a police report.

Police said Morar lied about where she had been and attempted to hide heroin that was in the car. Police said marijuana, a grinder and a pill bottle with a gray powder were also found inside Morar’s purse.

Trumbull County Children Services was called because two children, ages 7 and 10, were in the car at the time of Morar’s arrest. Children Services tried contacting a family member to take custody of the children.

Morar was charged with drug possession, child endangering and failing to signal a turn.
