Bond set for man accused of Youngstown shooting

Jessie Harding was hospitalized after being found lying on Rush Boulevard with gunshot wounds to the chest

Chauncey Chandler is accused of shooting Jessie Harding and leaving him lying on Rush Boulevard.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Bond has been set at $100,000 for the man accused in a shooting earlier this month on Youngstown’s south side.

Chauncey Chandler appeared in Youngstown Municipal Court on Friday afternoon.

Prosecutors say he shot 25-year-old Jessie Harding several times, leaving him lying in the street along Rush Boulevard. They told the judge that Chandler has an extensive history of convictions for violent crimes and needed to have a high bond.

He remains in the Mahoning County Jail.
