OVI checkpoints to be held in Austintown Friday night

The checkpoints will be on S. Raccoon and New roads

OVI Checkpoint, DUI

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be conducting two checkpoints in Austintown Friday night.

The first will be on S. Raccoon Road from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The second checkpoint will be on New Road from 1 to 3 a.m.

Saturation patrols will also be conducted throughout the weekend.

The Task Force says these checkpoints are a tool to discourage and prevent impaired driving. They want to remind those who will be consuming alcohol not to drive and to find a safe way home.
