YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police said a man selling drugs in Youngstown led them on a foot chase Thursday, and was arrested after being tased three times.
William Sullivan, 26, is charged with resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, possession of heroin and possession of drugs.
Officers responded to a call around 6 p.m. about someone selling drugs from a car parked in a driveway on W. Warren Avenue.
When police arrived, they said Sullivan got out of the car and ran. Plastic baggies with drugs fell out of the car, according to a police report.
Officers chased Sullivan on foot to W. Evergreen Avenue. They said he tried to climb a fence, but his pants got caught on it and were pulled off.
When police caught up to him, they said he refused to spit a baggie of heroin out of his mouth.
After refusing to follow orders several times, police tased Sullivan, according to the police report. Officers said he finally spit out the baggie after being tased three times.
In addition to the bags of drugs, police found $1,404 in Sullivan’s pants.
He is being held on a $17,500 bond.
