YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A homeless man broke a door at the police station and asked to go to jail, according to police.

Police said 53-year-old Clifton Jennings came to the Youngstown Police Department on Tuesday evening, saying he had broken a window at a church and wanted to break more. He said he was homeless and wanted to go to jail.Clifton Jennings arrested for vandalism.

Jennings then threw a rock at the front lobby door of the police station, according to a police report.

He was charged with vandalism and taken to Mahoning County Jail.

Jennings has been convicted of criminal damaging and vandalism in the past, according to court records.
