YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man, charged with robberies at Family Dollar in Boardman and Rite Aid in Youngstown, has been indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Robert Johnson is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and robbery with firearm specifications and one count of breaking and entering.

A clerk at Family Dollar told police that Johnson tried purchasing items at the store on June 10, but when his credit card was denied, he pointed what was believed to be a gun at her and demanded the money inside the cash register. He then made off with 15 packs of cigarettes, valued at $93, and the other items he tried purchasing.

Police said they were able to find Johnson by tracking the credit card number used in the attempted purchase as well as a description of the suspect and his vehicle.
