Keys on Offense
Senior guard Ignatius Horvath returns after being named to the First-Team All-AAC Blue Tier a year ago. Horvath will be opening holes for his classmate Yianni Koullias, who put together a solid junior campaign. Campbell returns a lot as they hope to improve upon last year’s 3-7 mark. Depth is a concern but the coaching staff is very happy with where the line is at this point.

Keys on Defense
In 2015, Campbell’s defense held six opponents to less than 24 points. The defensive line should be strength for the Red Devils entering 2016. Junior Naji Robinson and sophomore Rayshaun Hicks should benefit from the return of such pass rushers as Andrew Van Jura, Josh Collins, Elijah McCaskill, Darion Jones and Ignatius Horvath. In the secondary, the Devils return Yianni Koullias, Brandon Liggens and Antwane McMeans.

Final Analysis
Campbell went through a four-year stretch (2009-2012) which saw the Red Devils accumulate a 30-13 record (69.8%) and two playoff appearances (2009, 2010). Since then, Campbell has dropped 22 of their last 30 contests (26.7%). A silver lining to last year’s 3-7 season is the team fell to Liberty by four points (7-3) and they also dropped a three-point game to Champion (23-20). The Red Devils appear to be moving in the right direction as they could become a team to be reckoned with come October.
