2 shot in Youngstown

The second shooting victim limped up to the porch of a home on Byron Street around 11:30 p.m.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police are investigating a string of shootings that sent two people to the hospital Monday night.

Officers say the first shooting started around 10:30 p.m. outside the Victory Estates Apartments.

One victim was found behind a building on Magnolia Avenue. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition.

The second shooting happened on Ayers Street around 11:30 p.m.

Police responded to the area on reports of gunfire and found a vehicle they say was hit.

Nearby, a man with gunshot wound to his leg ran up to a house on Byron Avenue. His condition has not been released.

The shootings are under investigation.

No arrests have been made.
