YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The city of Youngstown will be paving a much needed part of South Avenue this summer from Midlothian Boulevard north to Williamson Avenue.
The construction will cover nearly 24 blocks, paid for by federal and state money.
Engineers will scrape away the pavement and replace it with an additional layer of paving material, thicker than usual, meaning the construction will take longer. But, they hope it will extend the life of the road surface.
Directors hope to have the work finished by next fall.
