PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WKBN) – Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf was among the long list of speakers Thursday night, representing the state hosting the Democratic National Convention.

He took the stage around 8:20 p.m. to a standing ovation and spoke for about five minutes.

Wolf talked about serving in the Peace Corps and earning a PhD at MIT before coming home to eventually run the family business.

He compared his small company to those of Donald Trump’s, highlighting how he offered profit sharing for employees.

“One of the keys to our success was that we recognized that in business, you are only as good as the people you have in your company and thus, you had to treat everyone like they mattered. Why? Because in fact, they do matter.”

Wolf promised that under President Clinton, small businesses would be rewarded for profit sharing. He also said Clinton will fight to raise the minimum wage, give women equal pay, and offer 12 weeks paid family leave and affordable child care.
