Lamont McDowell, 19, is charged with aggravated robbery

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Youngstown man is jailed Thursday after being arrested on a warrant for an armed robbery in January of 2015.

Lamont McDowell, 19, is charged with aggravated robbery. Police said he robbed an Austintown man at a Staatz Drive home.

The alleged victim told police that he asked McDowell to come over and cut his hair. He said McDowell brought a relative with him who pulled a shotgun on him after the haircut, and he said both men took several items from him, including jewelry, belts, $300 in cash and his iPhone.

McDowell is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment at 1 p.m. August 1.
