YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Barbara passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio on August 9, 2016 with her husband at her side.
She was born January 21, 1949 in Augusta, GA to the late Grady and Mattie (Jones) Pryor.
She graduated from T.W. Josey High School in 1967. Following her graduation, she met Donald Moorer who stole her heart. After marriage they moved to Youngstown, Ohio.
Barbara was a very caring person and she really loved her family. She was a hard worker and dedicated to the task that she confronted with. She was very ill for a long time and was very private about it. She enjoyed the ministry when not overwhelmed by her illness.
She also worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital for over fifteen years.
Barbara was one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses who focused on the day when sickness and death will be a thing of the past.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; Donald Moorer, three grandchildren, brothers; Alfreddie Pryor (Gwen) of Georgia, John Pryor of Georgia, sisters; Betty Bloodsworth of Georgia, Yvonne Southern of Texas, sister-in-law; Yolanda Moorer of Akron, Ohio, brother-in-law; Barry Moorer of Youngstown, aunts; Cora Bell Proyer of Georgia, Martha Jones Dunn of Georgia. She helped rear Kevin Bloodsworth, Lisa and Elizabeth Wellmaker and David Pryor. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son; Brandon Moorer.
Funeral service will be held August 17, 2016, 5:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall 319 Struthers Liberty Rd., Campbell, Ohio.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements have entrusted to the directors of the Matthew W. Conley Funeral Home.
