YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A grand jury indicted a man on charges related to a police chase in July that involved two children.
Brandon Liggens, 36, is charged with two counts each of felonious assault, having weapons while under disability and endangering children. He is also charged with one count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, tampering with evidence and assault.
Police said Liggens led them on a chase through Campbell and Youngstown with two kids in the backseat.
The chase started at the eastbound exit of the Madison Avenue Expressway. A witness said he saw Liggens shooting at another vehicle.
Officers said they rammed the back of Liggens’ car, spinning it around, but he kept driving until he crashed on Albert Street.
