WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police arrested a Warren man, who has been convicted for domestic violence multiple times in the past, after they said he assaulted three people Wednesday afternoon.
Anthony Zachery, 44, is charged with two counts of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest.
Officers arrived at the home on Parkman Road just after 4:30 p.m.
The victim told them that she was asleep and woke up to Zachery hitting her in the face.
Zachery’s mother said she tried to stop him, but he pushed her back.
The victim’s son told police that Zachery told him not to come inside the house, and punched him in the jaw.
They warned officers that Zachery was drunk, and police said he was confrontational when they tried talking to him.
According to a police report, he told them he was upset because the victim said she had been sexually assaulted by a family member in the past. Police said Zachery admitted to pushing the victim’s son because he said he confronted Zachery.
Officers said Zachery was uncooperative while they tried arresting him, so they warned him that they would use a taser if he didn’t follow orders. They said he continued to be uncooperative, so they tased him.
Zachery then told officers that he also grabbed his mother’s mouth to get her to stop talking, according to the police report.
He was treated by EMS crews and taken to the sheriff’s office.
