YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Kids will be back in the classroom in a couple of weeks, and doctors say getting them back into a routine is important.
Local family doctor Michael Sevilla said getting kids back into a routine is the first thing parents should work on doing.
He said children should get at least eight hours of sleep and there are things they should not do before bed.
“Especially one hour before sleep, no video games, no screens, no cell phones, and try to get them into a routine: a bath, a shower, maybe read them a book. Then, definitely lights out,” Dr. Sevilla said.
The next important thing is to make sure kids have a good, healthy breakfast each morning.
