WARREN, Ohio – Margaret Jane Wike, 83, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday evening, August 23, 2016.
Jane was born on August 28, 1932 in Porter Township Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late William G. and Rachel E. (Doak) Geist.
She was a lifelong resident of Warren and attended Howland High School but graduated from Punxsutawney High School.
Jane worked on the production line at Ohio Lamp for several years.
She was a devoted Christian and a proud member of Bolindale Church of the Nazarene.
She leaves behind a daughter, Laurie (Tony) Virgalitte, of Akron, a son Jeff G. (Cindy) Wike, of Creston, five grandchildren; Jason (Heather) Richards, Rachel (Scott) Hobbs, Jesse Richards, Jeffery (Kari) Wike, Jeremy (Tonya) Wike, and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, and best friend of 52 years, John “Jack” Wike. They were married on January 25, 1955 and Jack died on July 16, 2007. Jane is also preceded in death by a sister Mary Shelar and two brothers; Melvin and Dwight Geist.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Clark Funeral Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. Warren, OH.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will take place at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Champion.
