WARREN, Ohio – Queen Easter Lee, 66, of 1768 Sweetbrier Street, S.W., Warren, OH, departed this life Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at her residence, following, an extended illness.
She was born November 7, 1949 in Columbus, Mississippi, the daughter of Jesse and Minnie Butler Lee Sr., residing in the area since 1973.
Ms. Lee was employed with Community Skilled Nursing Center for 25 years as a Custodian, before retiring December 2015.
She was a faithful member of Third Christian Church, where she attended Sunday School and enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
She leaves to mourn one son, Jonathan “James” Lee of Charlottesville, Virginia; three brothers, Willie (Bertha) Lee, Ollie (Zollie) Lee, and Major (Helen) Lee; three sisters, Ms. Annie Mae Baldwin, Ms. Mary Lee and Ms. Mattie Jones; three grandchildren, Marcus James Lee, Jordan Tyler Lee and Rosaline Magalie Maas and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Josie Mae Lang and two brothers, Jesse Lee Jr. and TY Lee.
Queen’s family wants to especially thank Third Christian Church, Hope Cancer Care, St. Joseph Hospital and MVI Hospice Care for all the help, kindness and love extended to them.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Third Christian Church.
Calling Hours will be held one hour prior to service (10:00-11:00 a.m.).
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
