ODOT announces travel change for Route 11 and Tibbetts Wick

Drivers who take the Route 11 southbound exit to Tibbetts Wick will not be able to turn left onto eastbound Tibbetts Wick

A major bridge construction project on Tibbetts Wick Road and State Route 11 is underway, but some say the project is creating a dangerous situation for drivers.

LIBERTY TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio Department of Transportation announced a change to State Route 11 and Tibbetts Wick Road that will affect drivers.

Beginning Thursday, drivers who take the Route 11 southbound exit to Tibbetts Wick will not be able to turn left onto eastbound Tibbetts Wick Road. This change will be in effect through early October due to bridge construction in the area.

The detour will be Route 11 southbound to Gypsy Lane to Route 11 northbound, or drivers can use State Route 82 eastbound to State Route 193 to Tibbetts Wick Road.

The change comes after some drivers complained about being unable to see around a wall there, but it is unknown whether the change was made due to complaints.
