Power outages hit Valley

The tree fell on a main line that services customers in Mahoning and Trumbull counties

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A First Energy spokesperson said that power has been restored to about 3,200 customers Thursday morning after a tree fell on a main line overnight Wednesday in Youngstown.

Crews removed the tree and repaired the line on Benita Avenue.

At the height of the outage, nearly 4,000 customers were without power on the north side of Youngstown and parts of Trumbull County.

As of 11 a.m., fewer than 20 homes were without power.

At one point, there were 800 customers without service in Columbina County. All power has been restored there. A tree fell on a power line causing the outage.
