Eight puppies died in a house fire in Newton Twp., Ohio.


NEWTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Eight puppies could not be saved from a fire that broke out in Newton Township late Sunday night.

The owners were not home at the time and their son was checking on the house on Scott Street about 11 p.m. when he saw smoke coming from the house and called 911.

The son tried to get inside the house to save the dogs but couldn’t.

Eight puppies died in a house fire in Newton Twp., Ohio. Firefighters were able to save three adult dogs from the house.

The house sustained substantial damage inside. A damage estimate was not available.

The fire is under investigation.
